Just to clarify our earlier message, the number 08456715678 has been identified as belonging to Tesco Bank. We managed to get them to return our call.

We’ve received a couple of calls from this number, but we haven't dialled out to them at all. Strangely enough, our account has been charged twice: once for a brief 3-minute chat at 35p and again for a longer 7-minute call at 69p. Oddly enough, as soon as we pick up, the line goes silent. We always make an effort to verify if there's another number before making a call and we only ring when absolutely necessary. This particular firm is one we do quite a bit of business with personally, so it’s rather perplexing.
