I just got off the phone with Tesco Bank, and they actually told me this number themselves instead of me needing to share it. Seems like Tesco uses it for stuff to do with their credit cards. I reckon it has something to do with a block or late payment on my card.

For about three weeks now, I’ve been receiving calls pretty much every day, sometimes up to 4 times, from 08453666675. They keep asking for a Miss Susan Ball and want her to ring back 08456710677, which is apparently Tesco Bank. I’ve never called that number at all.

10/02/2015 I received a rather fishy call from a bloke who knew my name and said he was with Tesco Bank. He wanted me to verify some security info. When I pressed him on why he was calling, he claimed he couldn’t divulge anything without going through the checks first. Quite odd, if you ask me. He then offered a callback number - 0845 6710677 - insisting it was imperative I reach out and assuring me it wasn’t a sales pitch. I’m not buying it and it appears I’m not the only one! Best to steer clear of this one!

Looks like theyre going after older folks these days. My mum keeps getting calls from 08456710677 claiming to be Tesco Bank. Total scam! We told BT about it but instead of helping, they just tried to sell her a £34.99 phone so she could block the number herself. Bit rubbish from BT if you ask me.

I've been getting loads of calls about someone called Mr Hammond, asking him to ring a certain number. Problem is, there's nobody here by that name. I even tried getting in touch with Tesco to sort it out, but their system is fully automated and you can't talk to a real person unless you have a card or account number. Quite frustrating!

I get called like 6 times every day by someone saying it's Tesco, telling Miss Speer to ring back on this number. Got fed up and looked it up online and found this page. Proper annoying. Definitely a SCAM.

At about 8 in the evening, Tesco Bank gave us a ring saying my husband needed to ring them back straight away on a certain number. When he did call, a message came on asking him to put in his bank card details. He quickly hung up. Later, we looked into it and discovered the number was fake.

Got a ring on my phone from 0141 537 4000, some folks saying they were Tesco Bank. They said they couldn’t sort out my question unless I told them my address, postcode and birthday. Luckily, I got suspicious and asked them to prove who they were. They then handed me an 0845 671 0677 number to ring for verification. I looked it up online and found out it’s a scam. Don’t bother calling back, it’s fake!

Got a text from a supposed Tesco Bank saying I needed to ring them urgently on 08456710677. Checked Tesco’s official site and that number isn’t listed anywhere. I phoned the real Tesco number and their office had closed at 2pm - but I got the message after 5:20pm. Definitely a scam, don’t bother calling that number! What a load of scammers.

WATCH OUT.

I received a letter supposedly from Tesco Bank Collections, but instead of my name, it just said "Tesco Bank." They wanted me to ring 08456710677.

The number didn’t line up with the official Tesco helpline. When I contacted Tesco on their real customer service line, they said they had no clue about any letter like that. Seems a bit fishy. If you get a letter like this, steer clear and don’t reply.

Always double-check by calling Tesco customer support on the correct number first.
