Called regarding our daughter. Then had to return the call and was left hanging in a queue. Didn't see the point in sticking around for it.

Received a message on our answering machine from some clinic wanting us to return their call. They claimed to be a hand and back clinic open until 9 in the evening. The thing is, we don't have any issues with our hands or backs, so we decided against calling back, especially since it would probably have been a premium rate number. Honestly, I’m quite relieved we didn’t bother to ring them.

I've been receiving calls daily for the past month, trying to track down our nephew. The last call I answered came from someone claiming to be with Halifax, inquiring about one of her accounts. It's quite puzzling, as they seem to possess her address and her own phone number, yet have been using my temporary landline number, which I provided on an application for locating a lost account. Who on earth are these individuals, and what is it they're trying to sell? She insists she's not peddling anything, which leaves me even more bewildered.

There was a noticeable hesitation in their voice, and we had to nudge for clarification several times before it was clear they were still on the line. When we enquired about a suitable time to return the call, she promptly gave us this number. However, we don't hold an account with Halifax, which raised our suspicions. Consequently, we chose not to return the call. It certainly feels a bit off to us.
