08456032775 Summary (Read all comments)

Phone number ☎️ 08456032775 👆 is reported as a genuine HSBC contact number primarily used for legitimate banking matters such as fraud checks, mortgage enquiries, and document signings. However, it is often associated with persistent and sometimes intrusive calls, including follow-ups on overdrafts or product offers, which some find irritating. While some users have experienced vague or security-question requests that raised suspicion, many confirm it is an official HSBC line, occasionally connected to call centres in India. The number is typically not for sales but for essential account or security-related communication. Those receiving frequent calls can contact HSBC directly to limit marketing or nuisance calls, and it’s advisable to verify the purpose before sharing personal details. Overall, it is best to treat the calls seriously if you are an HSBC customer.

I actually work at HSBC, so I’m certain this number is legit. But here’s the thing: if you miss the call and try ringing back the same number, you’ll end up getting an automated message telling you to use an 03 number rather than the 08. Once you switch to the 03 number and call, it plays a message saying HSBC called and you don’t need to get in touch or take any action. Strange setup, but definitely genuine.

This number has been calling us repeatedly - a staggering ten times in just a fortnight - all to peddle various HSBC services! It's been incredibly frustrating. We've expressly asked HSBC to only reach us on our mobile for urgent matters, yet here we are, inundated with these relentless calls.

I received calls from this number, which turned out to be HSBC. I recommend picking up, as they kept ringing me. Apparently, they detected some suspicious activity linked to my account, hence the outreach - it really seems like it was a fraud alert. They've even arranged for me to receive a new bank card. If you're an HSBC customer, it's definitely worth your while to answer the call!

Received a call around half five this afternoon. Honestly, I can’t stand those sorts of calls! They really get under my skin. Now all I'll be left wondering for the next couple of days is who on earth it could have been. Cheers!

It tends to be HSBC that gives us a ring, always trying to pitch another one of their offers. Typically, these callers are keen to know when we’re ready to open up yet another 50 accounts. It's rather bothersome, to be honest; we try our best to ignore their calls, but they just won't take the hint!

Got a call from HSBC the other day - not one of those annoying sales or debt callers, which was a relief. They just wanted me to sign a few papers that I’d accidentally overlooked. Bit frustrating but at least it was legit.

I've been receiving calls from this number repeatedly in the early evenings. It appears to be a fax line, as whenever I answer, I'm greeted by nothing but a beeping noise. It's quite puzzling!

Today, a lady rang us up on two separate occasions, mentioning a name and claiming she was with "the bank". When we pressed her for the specific name of the bank, she chuckled rather awkwardly and mumbled something along the lines of, "well, that's a bit tricky, because we erm... can't really disclose that". We directed her to the appropriate place, and then he called us back.

I’m getting calls from this number twice a day, at the very least. It’s worth mentioning that we have no affiliation with HSBC whatsoever.

Absolutely, we've been consistently bothered by this individual ringing our mobiles and our home phone as well. Despite multiple requests asking them politely to refrain from using our mobile numbers except in case of genuine emergencies, they still persist. It's quite maddening, to say the least!

Received a call on my mobile earlier today, and they left a voicemail. They seemed to know our name, introducing themselves as being from HSBC. They asked us to ring back on 08455 831298, which certainly had the ring of a UK number.

Received a missed call on our mobile, then our landline rang with an unknown number. They left a message stating, "You were called by HSBC, no action is necessary on your part, so there's no need to return the call." The peculiar thing is, we don’t even hold an account with HSBC or anything like that!

It appears to be HSBC. I recommend giving their main office a bell. Those pesky callers should be dealt with soon. We dialled the 0207991880 number (which doesn’t cost a penny!) and managed to get ourselves removed from their call list. Fantastic news!!!

Blimey, these chaps decided to give us a bell at 10:50 in the morning! Not the worst time, I suppose, but I'm on a night shift and trying to catch some z’s. Struggling to sleep during daylight hours isn’t easy, and it really put a dampener on things. To top it off, they didn’t bother leaving a voicemail, which usually signals they’re keen to have a chat and likely drive us around the bend! I was curious about who it might be, so cheers for shedding some light. If it's HSBC, I doubt we’re missing out on anything monumental. Next time they decide to ring, I’ll be armed with some rather pointed remarks!

Today, we received a call from this number claiming to be HSBC, and I must say, they were quite accommodating. It seems that these calls tend to come in rather frequently when someone's gone beyond their overdraft limit, and they’re keen to encourage folks to top up their accounts. While one might be miffed by such persistent ringing, it might be wise for individuals to take a bit more care with their finances. They're not phoning up to push any sales, but rather to lend a hand where it's needed.

I received three calls in a mere fifteen seconds from this number! I'm curious, what on earth does HSBC think these individuals are up to?

Seems like this is the HSBC call centre based in India. They ring us up constantly-like clockwork-especially when we’re just at the tipping point of our overdraft. The moment we hit that limit, it’s as if they’ve got our number on speed dial. We've taken to saving their digits, so we know exactly who’s on the other end of the line, giving us the chance to gather a bit of cheek for when we pick up.

I've had a proper experience with a Mortgage Manager; we shot over an email with an inquiry. My hunch is that this is standard practice and quite credible. It seems like genuine folks might share information, and you can definitely reply to them.

It’s not simply a call centre based in India. Earlier today, we received a call from our local branch using this number, reaching out just when we were hoping to get a mortgage quote from them. Quite timely, I must say!

We picked up a call from this number, only for the caller to abruptly hang up on us. It's becoming rather tiresome since they ring us daily! I'm seriously considering lodging a complaint with HSBC about this nuisance. I reckon if enough folks take a stand, maybe they'll finally take notice.

22nd October 2014 I received a call from this number, and it seemed to be an Asian gentleman on the other end. He claimed to represent HSBC, yet he was rather evasive about the purpose of his call. All he wanted was my date of birth, saying it was to confirm my identity as Mrs. ........ I decided to end the call, though I did ponder over providing him with a fictitious birth date just to see what he’d come back with next!

I've been receiving daily calls from this relentless individual for the last couple of weeks. Strangely enough, they never leave a voicemail, which suggests they're not really trying to get in touch. I discovered this number flagged as a nuisance call. Quite irritating, to say the least!

I’ve had calls purporting to be from HSBC, yet they keep pushing me to validate some security questions, which I've flatly declined. They claim it’s not a sales pitch, but won’t disclose what the matter actually concerns. I’ve made it clear that I want them to cease calling me.

I've noticed that this number seems to belong to HSBC or First Direct, as they often ring me up to conduct surveys or check in after recent happenings. I've requested them to put a halt to these calls, along with any marketing solicitations.
