People mess up typing the digits or accidentally press the wrong button on those tiny screens we all use. This number here? Definitely a typo. The number shown isn’t the actual one that rang me, so have another look! By the way, it’s the BT setup that converts texts to landline numbers and then passes them along.

Got a call earlier today, 12th March 2024, about 9:20 in the morning. The voice said it was from BT with a recorded message about Snapchat. They had those typical options like press 1 to listen or 2 to decline, four choices overall. I just had a feeling it was a scam, so didn’t bother pressing anything.

They rang me three times early Saturday morning, somewhere between 7:30 and 8:30. I didn’t pick up since it felt way too early to be any sort of genuine call.

It seems to be the text messaging service provided by BT. When someone sends you a message to your BT landline, you'll find that this number will ring you every hour until you've managed to listen to the voice message. I’m not quite certain about how late this continues through the night. I received a message at 11:10 in the evening, and sure enough, the calls started coming through, but they didn’t ring again until the afternoon of the next day. Quite the nuisance, really!
