BLS Collections, a rather unpleasant offshoot of Lloyds TSB, seems to be on a mission to recover debts in a rather dubious fashion. We've got a supposed debt linked to an Amex/Lloyds card that we haven’t used at all, yet these folks are presenting us with a completely made-up figure! Absolutely no chance I'm coughing up anything for this nonsense!

It’s true that BLS operates under the umbrella of Lloyds TSB. Typically, these folks tend to ring you from a number that’s ‘Withheld’, so you might not even realise it’s them on the line. To be frank, they aren’t any more principled than other firms that buy debt for a pittance, only to harass individuals into paying them off. It’s all rather shady, if you ask me!
