Our business got hit by these scammers too, complete con artists. Out of the blue, we got a mock ad saying 'stop bullying' followed right away by a bill - no asking us first or anything. We reported it to the police and trading standards but they just told us to ignore it. The calls keep coming nonstop, with messages, letters, and even threats about lawyers from Spotlight. It’s been a nightmare and so stressful. These people are absolute rubbish. If anyone’s dealt with Spotlight Design or got contacted by them, please share your experience here.

I've already flagged Design Spotlight with both Trading Standards and Action Fraud. Their calls come off as quite intimidating, so I’d honestly recommend others take the same step. Fun fact: the address they’re using is just a storage unit in Manchester, nothing more.

Does this have anything to do with Educated Media Solutions? Last year I signed up to a 'let’s stop bullying' advert, or so I thought, but it seems like I’m still being charged for it. Every now and then, a woman named Stacey calls to remind me that today’s the day they’ll take payment for the advert. Problem is, I don’t really remember agreeing to this at all. They’ve sent me some proofs of the poster, but I’ve never actually seen any of them around town or at the schools I work with. I think I’ve paid about £225 four times now. Only just starting to feel a bit dodgy about it, maybe I should’ve caught on sooner. But EMS just seemed so legit.

I've had a few calls from someone claiming to be from Spotlight Design's accounts team, insisting I owe £149 for an advert they say I agreed to. Supposedly, this ad is for an anti-bullying campaign meant for my neighbourhood, but I’ve got no memory of signing up for anything like that. I asked loads of questions and mentioned this site and other people's experiences, but they always had a line ready to keep pushing. The woman I dealt with was really pushy and wouldn’t back down at all. Oddly, their listed address matches a storage facility in Manchester called FlexiSpace. When I rang them, the woman who answered sounded like she might know me - maybe she’s behind those calls? Could this all be part of something bigger than we expect? Please don’t send them any money. Make sure you report them to Action Fraud - the more complaints they get, the better the chance they’ll get caught. I’m even reaching out to a local paper to shine a light on this.

I got a call from a business calling themselves Spotlight Design, just like in the comment up top. They were super aggressive, threatening me with legal action because I supposedly hadn’t paid for an ad I'd put with them. They actually took info from my Facebook business page and used a photo that’s copyrighted. The address they gave is just some storage facility, and I couldn’t find them on any company registers. Seriously, don’t let these folks intimidate you! They definitely try to push you around. They made me feel like I was losing it, acting like I’d forgotten about some ad I supposedly posted. They even sent me a big A3 poster saying Stand Up! Speak Out! I looked up the number, found the comment above, and felt I had to share my story too.
