10 yearsHad a chat with a bloke from "Lets Stop Bullying" the other day, turns out they work through Educated Media. I wasn't having any of it and told them exactly what I thought. They claim to fight bullying but seem to use that as a front to reel people in. When I confronted one of their guys with what I found out, he just said they've been around for 14 years and that I had every right to back out. Be careful, their nicely spoken sales crew can be a bit dodgy. I got a bad feeling when they pitched me advertising for a calendar starting in March, not January like you'd expect.Let ' s Stop BullyingEducated Media10 yearsOur business got hit by these scammers too, complete con artists. Out of the blue, we got a mock ad saying 'stop bullying' followed right away by a bill - no asking us first or anything. We reported it to the police and trading standards but they just told us to ignore it. The calls keep coming nonstop, with messages, letters, and even threats about lawyers from Spotlight. It’s been a nightmare and so stressful. These people are absolute rubbish. If anyone’s dealt with Spotlight Design or got contacted by them, please share your experience here.SpotlightSpotlight Design11 yearsI've received repeated calls from this number with relentless demands for cash towards what they claim is an anti-bullying marketing campaign. They've contacted me six times now, and honestly, their approach feels quite menacing. I've taken the step of reporting them to Action Fraud and strongly encourage anyone else who’s been bothered by them to do likewise. Additionally, I've reached out to Trading Standards about the issue. I would implore others to follow suit; it’s important we put a stop to this!Action FraudStandards11 yearsI've already flagged Design Spotlight with both Trading Standards and Action Fraud. Their calls come off as quite intimidating, so I’d honestly recommend others take the same step. Fun fact: the address they’re using is just a storage unit in Manchester, nothing more.Design SpotlightStandardsAction FraudlineManchester11 yearsSpotlight design has been hounding me with two letters and a couple of nasty phone calls. I’ve let Trading Standards know about it. They’re now threatening to take legal action if I don’t cough up.Spotlight DesignTrading Standards11 yearsDoes this have anything to do with Educated Media Solutions? Last year I signed up to a 'let’s stop bullying' advert, or so I thought, but it seems like I’m still being charged for it. Every now and then, a woman named Stacey calls to remind me that today’s the day they’ll take payment for the advert. Problem is, I don’t really remember agreeing to this at all. They’ve sent me some proofs of the poster, but I’ve never actually seen any of them around town or at the schools I work with. I think I’ve paid about £225 four times now. Only just starting to feel a bit dodgy about it, maybe I should’ve caught on sooner. But EMS just seemed so legit.StaceyEMS11 yearsHave a gander at the link provided: http://www.unknownphone.com/search.php?num=0845576119311 yearsIt just hit me how ridiculous this is - Spotlight Design are actually using sneaky tricks and intimidation to try and grab cash they don’t deserve, all while pretending they’re part of some anti-bullying campaign! What a joke!Spotlight Design11 yearsTrading standards got in touch with me recently over 'Spotlight Design' after raising concerns about their dodgy operations. They didn't go into much detail, but said they’re aware of who’s running the show and where they're based. Seems like they’ve been keeping an eye on them for a while now, so it looks like things are closing in... Whatever happens, don’t hand these scammers any money!Spotlight Design11 yearsI’ve been in touch with the Police about this, and also contacted Ian Conway from the firm that handles the number 08455761193. You might want to ring him at 0808 136 3636 ext 121 and share what you know. He’s currently working with the number’s reseller to get it blocked. After that, it’d be a good idea to report the issue to Trading Standards along with your personal stories and refer them to this website...PoliceIan Conway11 yearsSame here, they’re pushing me to pay for some advert I never agreed to. Looks like they found an ad I put somewhere else and are using that info to mess with me. I was looking for evidence but definitely not from these lot, and there’s no way I’m handing over £225!11 yearsThey got in touch with me as well and started threatening legal action if I didn’t pay up £399. I honestly can’t recall signing up for anything like that, though I had posted a couple of adverts before so maybe I mixed things up. The calls come through with no caller ID, so I just don’t pick up.11 yearsWe’re dealing with the exact same issue as you lot. We've been charged £199 for some Anti Bullying Campaign we never agreed to at all. Our organisation often supports local causes and advertises projects like this, so getting a call about an Anti Bullying Poster wasn’t out of the blue. We couldn’t recall the chat properly but assumed we might’ve been involved somehow. Turns out, we got a proof poster sent in the post without fully agreeing to anything. Once we saw it, it was clear this wasn’t legit. After a bit of digging, we found out the company are just con artists - they send out fake posters and then demand payment. Avoid these scammers at all costs. They keep ringing for the money and now are even threatening to drag us to small claims court.11 yearsThis company has really annoyed me as well, kept ringing me on Tuesday afternoon. I thought they were related to an ad I’d just put up, so I gave them my details, but now they’ve sent me a bill for an anti-bullying poster I never agreed to advertise. They never explained that’s what they were selling. Seems like they go after people who’ve recently advertised something online or in a paper. After reading everyone else’s stories, I’m relieved I’m not the only one caught out by them. They’re threatening court if I don’t pay £199. Any tips appreciated. They hid their number too, which I regret answering. The number on their invoice matches the one shown above. I’m planning to report them to the police too.11 yearsI’ve been getting harrassed by this company called Spotlight Design too. They keep saying I agreed to some kind of advertising deal, which I never did. The people on the phone are really rude and quite threatening. I’ve started noting down every call with the dates, times, and the names they give, just in case. They say they have a recording of me giving permission, but I don’t remember that at all. To make things worse, they even sent me a poster in the post! It’s really stressing me out and I’m struggling to get a proper night’s sleep because of it :(Spotlight Design11 yearsI received an invoice from a company calling itself Spotlight Design, claiming they had conducted an advertising campaign for me. However, I've tried to locate any information on this entity at the address provided: 40-46 Ashton Old Road, Ardwick, Manchester, M12 6LP, and I can't find anything at all. When I rang them up, they simply picked up the phone saying, "Hello, can I assist you?" which strikes me as rather unprofessional, given they didn’t even mention their company's name. Very suspicious, indeed!Spotlight DesignAshton Old RoadArdwickManchester11 yearsI've had a few calls from someone claiming to be from Spotlight Design's accounts team, insisting I owe £149 for an advert they say I agreed to. Supposedly, this ad is for an anti-bullying campaign meant for my neighbourhood, but I’ve got no memory of signing up for anything like that. I asked loads of questions and mentioned this site and other people's experiences, but they always had a line ready to keep pushing. The woman I dealt with was really pushy and wouldn’t back down at all. Oddly, their listed address matches a storage facility in Manchester called FlexiSpace. When I rang them, the woman who answered sounded like she might know me - maybe she’s behind those calls? Could this all be part of something bigger than we expect? Please don’t send them any money. Make sure you report them to Action Fraud - the more complaints they get, the better the chance they’ll get caught. I’m even reaching out to a local paper to shine a light on this.Spotlight DesignManchesterFlexiSpaceAction Fraud11 yearsWe foolishly ended up paying the £179 bill because the people on the phone were so rude to us. Such a waste of money :(11 yearsI got a call from a business calling themselves Spotlight Design, just like in the comment up top. They were super aggressive, threatening me with legal action because I supposedly hadn’t paid for an ad I'd put with them. They actually took info from my Facebook business page and used a photo that’s copyrighted. The address they gave is just some storage facility, and I couldn’t find them on any company registers. Seriously, don’t let these folks intimidate you! They definitely try to push you around. They made me feel like I was losing it, acting like I’d forgotten about some ad I supposedly posted. They even sent me a big A3 poster saying Stand Up! Speak Out! I looked up the number, found the comment above, and felt I had to share my story too.Spotlight Design11 yearsThe number belongs to a business named Spotlight Design, along with a few other aliases. They’ve been sending out bills for ads, like one for “Stopping Bullying 2015,” which we never agreed to. It seems like they might be grabbing info from your website. Just a heads up, they come across as quite pushy and threatening. We’ve ended up reporting them to the cops.Spotlight Design12 yearsI found out that both DDC and Design Spotlight are linked to this phone number, and I’ve even got letters from them. But whenever I try calling, no one ever picks up.Design SpotlightDDCSubmit Your Own Report (0845 576 1193)
