I told him straight up how rude it was to phone me out of the blue about my own funeral. I told him I hadn’t asked for their call and my funeral plans are no concern of his. They’re probably going after older folks. Not sure if it’s a scam, but I really don’t trust calls like this and reckon they’re risky since some might fall for it.

I live in Edinburgh and got three calls from this number today. The guy sounded like he was from Manchester and was quite polite, talking about a funeral plan. He claimed I had made an enquiry but I definitely hadn’t. I told him to remove my info from their records and then blocked the number. It was a close call as I’m still getting over COVID and don’t have a funeral plan. What made me suspicious was he asked for me by my nickname, which I never use when giving my details or asking for info. Just don’t understand where they get this stuff from. It’s quite worrying.

I never pick up calls from numbers I don’t recognise, I just paste the digits into this site (Who called me). Almost every time, it’s some dodgy scammer ringing. I block the number straight away and brace myself for more dodgy ones. These lot just don’t quit. Stay safe and take care everyone 😇
