I dialled 1471 and the individual on the other end claimed to be a specialist in policy matters. It’s quite probable they rang because our home insurance was about to expire.

Someone rang me about renewing my home insurance earlier. I told them straight away that I don’t entertain unsolicited calls and put the phone down. The person sounded polite and didn’t bother ringing back, just doing his job really. I wouldn’t mind as long as they don’t keep calling. Not sure how they managed to get my details in the first place though.

This phone keeps buzzing me several times a day, like 3 or 4 calls daily. I've told them to cut it out, but they seem totally uninterested in stopping. They say it’s for some insurance policy stuff. Now, I just don’t bother responding - the moment someone starts talking and it’s not someone I know, I hang up straight away. Such a hassle!
