I've blocked this number after reading the reviews here. I totally agree with someone who mentioned the BT 8500 call minder - it really helps stop unwanted calls and blocks them when you want. Honestly, I still think the government should do something and ban these calls altogether.

Got this pre recorded call from some A-rated boilers lot probably 10 times this year on different numbers. I've reported them to the ICO but they say they need the company name to act, so it's a bit of a catch-22. Being on the TPS is pointless since prerecorded messages aren’t covered. It’s a real shame the Tories like Cameron and Osborne aren’t sorting this out. Makes the government look a bit like Dastardly and Muttley. - SOMETHING needs to be done about these pesky "Do Badders".

The chap suggested pressing 9 if I wanted to opt out of their communication. What do you reckon? Should I go ahead and press that number or is it a dodgy ploy?

Got a recorded message from a woman asking if I get child benefits... didn’t bother listening after that, just hung up. Still so annoying tho, gotta keep reporting these calls (used to have to file like 600 complaints) so the ICO can slap those jerks with massive fines and shut them down for good. Wish I could somehow zap the person actually holding the phone on the other side to slow these jerks down a bit.

Got one of those irritating automated calls about rated boilers again. Proper fed up with it now. When I pressed 2, I got through to someone who said they'd remove me from their list after I complained. It was a bit different from before, when the caller ID would be faked to show 10-digit numbers that looked local at a quick look, or even real numbers that aren’t actually used. Previously, every time I asked who they were, the call just got cut off - sometimes I even pretended to be old and vulnerable to get info!

just got a call about a govt scheme for A-rated boilers. they said if ya get child tax credits or disability living allowance you might be able to apply. apparently other benefits count too. they told me to press 2 for more info or press 9 to take me off the list. sounded a bit dodgy to me.

Got the same automated call two times in one hour, all about replacement boilers for folks on specific benefits. When I ring the number back (after hanging up the first call), it plays a message about claiming compensation for delayed flights. Heads up - only bother if 0845 calls are free on your plan. this number rang me on my landline earlier today. didnt know who it was so i let it go to answerphone. im on the tps list but it dont seem to stop these calls much. ive noticed that simply not answering has cut down the amount of calls a lot, maybe they reckon ive gone or summat. honestly, feels like thats the only way to get any peace from these annoying callers. really hope they do something proper about all this soon.

18 march 2016 - got a recorded message about some government plan saying all houses must have an a-rated boiler by the end of 2016. It was the same voice and message as before but from a new number. I've blocked the number now.
