Got one of those boiler service calls, but it was a recorded message. I never get past the start coz I’m on the TPS and my number’s unlisted. I usually let out a bit of frustration before hanging up! Feels like they’re just randomly picking numbers. They’re getting really pushy, and this whole “marketing calls allowed, sales calls banned” thing is just rubbish. If you’re calling without permission, you should follow the rules or face some proper fines.

Heating firm. First time I got an automated voice. They ring me 3 or 4 times daily, super annoying. Think I’ll have to invite them over and mess about to waste their time. about the boiler, loads say report to ico or they just keep calling. from now on, dont put your number on any online forms. if the page makes you enter a number, use 0333 8888 8888 (drop last 8 if only 11 digits allowed) & the caller hears an automated “no marketing” message (free service). if not, try dialling code plus zeros or 1234567. even if you tick “no marketing” lots of companies still sell your number on, and its hard to find who did it, so it’s best not to hand over your real number at all.
