The caller left a recorded message offering assistance with debt-related issues. To stop receiving these unwanted calls, I need to press 9, but I am skeptical about whether it will actually work. As a precautionary measure, I will also add the caller's number to the CPRcallblocker on my landline.

I received a call from an automated IVR system on a phone number that is currently registered with the UK Telephone Preference Service. This service is used by reputable marketing companies to make sure they do not contact numbers that have chosen not to receive calls.

As a result, I believe the caller is not trustworthy and has a bad reputation.

I’m on the TPS list but still get these rubbish calls all the time, which I think is illegal. Don’t bother returning the call, they’ll just hit you with premium charges. Total spam, just block and ignore.

i just got off the phone with the ICO since i'm already signed up with TPS. on their website there's a section called ‘report a concern’ where you can file complaints about dodgy companies sending spam texts and calls. they even have a page showing the ‘action we’ve taken’ where you can read about how they’ve dealt with these annoying scammers. if loads of people report, maybe we’ll finally get rid of this rubbish.

The caller kept ringing because I didn’t pick up, just let it ring till they gave up. I’m signed up with TPS but these idiots clearly don’t care about that or the telecoms laws. Today, I received a call from the number 08454140706 on Viber. I rarely use this app and now, I have decided to uninstall it completely due to receiving spam calls through it. The caller was quite persistent even though I didn't answer the call. I simply let it ring until they eventually hung up. It is frustrating that these scammers have no regard for the Telephone Preference Service (TPS) or the rules set out in the telecommunications act. I have blocked the number in Viber before uninstalling the app, and I have also blocked it on my mobile phone.
