After waiting around a minute, I just got a goodbye and then silence, no reply whatsoever.

I received a call earlier today from someone looking for a Mrs [mispronounced surname]. Given that she's been gone for quite some time, I simply queried, "May I ask who's calling?" to clarify. The caller promptly disconnected without a word. It always raises my eyebrows when individuals aren’t willing to share who they are.

Received a rather frosty call from something called 'Safety Alarm'. They mentioned they were doing a survey in my area. However, the moment I pressed for details about what they were actually selling, they became remarkably elusive. Quite the dodgy little outfit, if you ask me!

Received a call from this number on two occasions today. The initial call was rather odd; an automated voice simply uttered “goodbye” before cutting off. The second time, a rather pushy woman claimed to be from Storm Security, stating they were rolling out a new system to connect with all three emergency services, including doctors, in my locality. I mentioned that my instinct would be to dial 999, but she insisted I might overlook that. Her tone grew increasingly confrontational, and ultimately, I had no choice but to end the call. Quite a bizarre experience, to say the least.

My phone buzzed, and when I answered with a “hello,” I was met with the sound of a robotic woman’s voice that simply replied, “Goodbye.” I looked into the number afterwards, and it turns out it’s been flagged numerous times for being a scam.

I've been receiving calls from this number from time to time. The only thing I hear is a rather cheerful, "THANK YOU." Quite curious, isn’t it?

I received a call from this number yesterday, and I must say, the lady on the other end was rather impolite when I inquired about the services they offer.

His accent was unmistakably regional, making it quite tricky for me to grasp exactly what he was offering. There was also quite a bit of background noise - not the sort of professionalism one would expect from a scammer!

Today, my mother received a rather peculiar call from this number, which simply uttered 'thank you' before cutting off. They've also tried reaching me, but I was busy at work. It's baffling how, despite being on the Telephone Preference Service list, these kinds of intrusive calls still manage to sneak through. It’s about time someone took action against these annoying phone nuisances.

A rather unpleasant lady spoke to my son when he picked up the call earlier today. It left him feeling quite distressed.

All I got was a recorded message that simply says 'Farewell'.

A lady called claiming to be from Westminster, saying she was offering security services and wanted to arrange a meeting. I had a funny feeling about it and decided to hang up.

This number contacted me at 12:10 and then again just five minutes later on the 22nd of January, 2013. I’ve had a barrage of calls from this same number, and every time, the callers have a distinctly foreign accent, always using my name as if they know me. If my answering machine kicks in before I can reach the phone, I always spot that number flashing on the display. Now, I can recognise it without a second thought! If by chance I happen to pick up before realising who’s on the line, I promptly inform them, "We have opted out of receiving any unsolicited calls," and I hang up. Nevertheless, they still persist in calling me a few days later regardless.

I picked up the call thinking it was the helpdesk, but the moment I answered, he hung up on me! All I was after were his username and password, nothing more.

I recently received a faint crackling followed by a disembodied farewell from this number. Experiencing the same trouble as another commenter - when I attempted to return the call, I found it impossible to connect. I've decided to have BT block this number from reaching me in the future. If it happens again, I won't hesitate to involve the police.

I was trying to get in touch with Mrs. M...... when I asked who it was, they just hung up on me so abruptly! How rude!

Those pesky cold callers! They even had the cheek to inquire about someone who doesn't even reside at this address.

This morning, I picked up the phone and found myself having a rather unwelcome chat with a lad trying to sell me some kind of security system. After about five minutes of his relentless pitch, I politely informed him that I wasn’t interested. To my surprise, he responded rather rudely, calling me a ‘waste of space’ before abruptly hanging up. Feeling quite irked, I decided to take action. I dialled 1471 to note the number and even called 101, hoping to report this incident to the police. Unfortunately, the number seems to be one of those that’s impossible to get through to-very frustrating indeed! I’d appreciate it if you could escalate this to the relevant authorities. I certainly don’t wish to deal with this sort of nonsense again. P.S. My house number is 01179522752 and my mobile is 07949588748. Any information you could provide would be immensely helpful, as I’d like to reach out to the CEO regarding this issue.

I received a rather unwelcome phone call discussing local safety initiatives and offering to schedule a visit regarding a potential security system installation. Honestly, I find it quite dubious-seems like a classic scam to me if they need to resort to cold calling folks with their sales pitch. Not my cup of tea at all!
