It's worth noting, this is definitely not a legitimate Barclaycard number; these folks are clearly fishing for personal information. We've brought this to Barclaycard's attention, but it seems like others have already flagged the number too, and as of now, it remains active!

I've been bombarded with calls from this number, ringing me five times a day, although it's a bit quieter on weekends. It’s been going on relentlessly for the past ten days! They've seemingly abandoned daytime calls and opted for the evenings instead, sometimes ringing as late as eight or nine o'clock. To top it off, we don’t even possess a Barclaycard, and the name mentioned in their messages definitely doesn't belong to anyone here. Even if they did have a legitimate reason to call, it would still qualify as harassment!

Over the last couple of mornings, this number has been attempting to reach us. We've already connected with the scam team at Barclaycard and made it quite clear that we won't engage in any phone conversations (due to a dodgy transaction linked to our account). We’re adamant that we won’t disclose any personal banking details over the phone. Strangely enough, these callers seem to have our postal address, claiming to be from Barclays!

I’m in the same boat! I don’t hold a Barclaycard, yet I keep getting calls intended for someone who doesn’t reside at my address. It’s now racked up to over thirty calls! I reached out to Barclaycard's Customer Services, and they confirmed it’s indeed one of their numbers. I even asked for it to be removed from their system and was promised it would be taken care of. I recently received an alarming text claiming that my Barclaycard was exceeding its limit. The catch? I don't even bank with them! It's utterly ridiculous. Since then, I've been inundated with calls from these fraudsters, and I can assure you, it's a scam of the highest order. Please, do yourselves a favour and steer clear of any replies. No legitimate bank would ever request sensitive information like that over the phone. It’s best to forward the call to voicemail or simply disregard it entirely. Stay smart and be cautious!

I received a call from a company representing Barclays, specifically Mercers Debt Collections Ltd, located at PO Box 28, 6th Floor, Liverpool, L32 8UY. Their contact number is 0151 473 2528. I suggest you simply pick up the phone, provide them with your number, and firmly state that you're being harassed. Request that they remove your number immediately, or you’ll be seeking legal advice. There’s no need to reveal your identity; just mention the name they were after in their recorded message. That worked a treat for me!

We contacted Barclaycard to verify the number listed on our statement, and they assured us that it didn’t belong to them. Following that, we reached out to their fraud department, who confirmed that this number is definitely not associated with Barclaycard. Just to clarify, this was on the 9th of October, 2008.
