I received a voicemail claiming to be from the Royal Bank of Scotland’s scam prevention team, indicating they wanted to return a ring at their earliest convenience. Strange, right? There was no further clarification provided. Just to clarify, I’m not affiliated with RBS in any way and can’t fathom how they got hold of my number. Does anyone have a clue about what this could be?

Steer clear of this dodgy scheme! I received the same type of call and it was the very same individuals. Oddly enough, we even left a message - which felt a bit off from the get-go. Then, lo and behold, he started asking for our card details! Immediate red flag, right? We pushed him for identification and he had the cheek to say, "You called me!" When we pressed further, he claimed to be from a scam awareness team but not affiliated with RBS and insisted on knowing our name. How careless could one be? In the end, we simply hung up.

I received a rather dubious voicemail claiming to be from the scam department of the Royal Bank of Scotland, suggesting that I should return their call at my earliest convenience. Oh, be cautious, this is definitely a con job! We experienced something very similar; when we called back, we encountered the same chap who had originally left the voicemail (which was rather odd). He then proceeded to ask for our card number! Absolutely not! When we inquired who he was, he claimed that we had rung him. So, we pressed for more details, and he mentioned something about being part of the 'scam team', but assured us he wasn’t affiliated with RBS. Then he asked for our name, but once again, we declined to give it! We swiftly hung up the phone after that.

I believe I've stumbled upon a group affiliated with the Royal Bank of Scotland, and frankly, it feels rather dubious. They seem to be handling the Paypal top-up card, and I've noticed a few unusual transactions linked to it while I was browsing through some details in South Africa. As a result, it seemed necessary for them to ensure that everything was above board with these individuals involved. Quite the peculiar situation, I must say!
