Just got a text about transferring 4150 to Halifax online but I don’t even have an account with them. Looks like a scam so I blocked the number 39453. Watch out for these dodgy messages!

Got a text asking if I’d authorised a Halifax transaction for £4150.00, with instructions to reply Y for yes or call 08452993472. Rang the number and ended up speaking to a “fraud rep” from Halifax who had a strong cockney accent. She was quite rude when I told her I don’t even bank with Halifax. I read the message to her and she said “I’m sure if you read it right, it says something else.” When I repeated the text back, she acted confused and then hurried to end the call, hanging up on me. Seemed fishy to me.

Just got a message from the number 50 418 saying: "do you authorise an online halifax payment of 4150.00 pounds? Reply y for yes or ring us on 08452993472." Problem is, I don’t even have a Halifax account! Weird right?

Got two texts from 08452993472 saying something about a halifax online payment of £4150. They asked me to reply Y if I approved or to ring them back on the same number. Oddly, one message came from 010010 and the other from 4413551. Definitely looks like a scam to me.

They sent me a message and it’s definitely a scam, so I wouldn’t bother calling them back.

Got a message asking me to confirm a payment of £4150.00 supposedly from a Halifax account. It said to "reply y for yes or ring 08452993472." Since I don't hold any account with Halifax, I reckon it's probably a scam trying to catch me out.
