This afternoon, I received a phone call which, upon answering, turned out to be a rather robotic message extolling the virtues of solar panels and the potential savings involved. Once the spiel wrapped up, I was prompted to either press 5 for a callback or opt out by hitting 9. I went ahead and pressed 9, only for the line to be disconnected. Curious, I called back and selected 5, ultimately reaching a representative. To my dismay, he was incredibly rude and condescending, cutting me off repeatedly and even accusing me of having called multiple times. Quite fed up with his attitude, I decided to end the call myself.

Honestly, do these callers-or whoever’s employing them-really believe anyone would engage with them after being met with nothing but automated messages or silence? It’s quite laughable!
