On the afternoon of Wednesday, the 9th of July 2014, at precisely 15:40, a young lass gave us a bell and had a quick chat with my grandmother. She then handed me the phone, and the girl on the other end inquired if I was the BT account holder. I informed her I wasn’t, and she promptly ended the call. Not the least bit vexing, to be honest. It’s high time these cold callers recognise that there are elderly and vulnerable individuals who don’t appreciate being pestered day in and day out by strangers with their dubious sales pitches. Seriously, who actually makes a purchase from a cold call? There must be a fair few gullible souls out there, or else these companies wouldn’t keep bombarding us with unwanted calls.

I received a phone call from an individual claiming to be with BT, requesting to speak to a person who hasn't resided at this address for quite some time now. That individual moved out a few years back.
