Yet another irritating robocall! It’s clearly one of those pesky sales pitches, undoubtedly aiming to either harvest your personal details or lighten your wallet-or perhaps even both. The phone rings three or four times before abruptly cutting out.

It’s one of those auto diallers that stays quiet for a bit. I just hang up since I’m not about to stick around for the robotic message.

I get calls like that around 10 to 12 twice or thrice each week. If it’s about PPI, surely they should put a final deadline on claims. This has been dragged on forever now. By now, anyone who thinks they’re owed something would’ve found out. Parliament really needs to get this fixed.

Just a heads up, the only way you'd get a charge for picking up is if you were abroad and answered on your mobile - calling back or picking up a home phone call won’t cost you anything.
