I’ve just received a call that mirrors yours, and funnily enough, it happened a mere five minutes back! This chap claimed to be from some event management outfit. Things got a tad jumbled when I mentioned that I wasn’t the Mrs. **** he was expecting - I offered to hand him over to Mr. **** instead. Curiosity got the better of me, and I inquired how he even came by our number since we aren’t in the loop for any events, nor are we keen on attending any. Suddenly, I was met with silence as the call just cut off. Quite peculiar, isn't it?

Received a call today, 27th November 2013. A rather articulate gentleman from a financial services firm rang up (I regret not catching the name of the company, it had a rather peculiar ring to it!). He inquired if my wife and I had any interest in financial issues, and commented on the troubling economic climate. He also mentioned there would be a financial seminar happening nearby. My wife maintained her politeness and wrapped up the conversation. Strangely enough, he wasn't overly insistent.
