I saw what other folks were saying here and thought I'd share what worked for me when I kept getting calls on my mobile. You can block the number yourself pretty easily. Just open your phone and go to your recent calls list. Tap on the little 'info' symbol next to the number. If you’re using an iPhone, just scroll down and hit the option to block the caller. For Android users, it might be a bit different - usually you have to save the number first, then find it in your contacts to block it from there. Hope this helps!

Get yourself one of those redial or caller timer apps, then use *67 before calling the number back through the app. If loads of us do this, their lines could get so busy scammers won’t be able to reach as many folks. I tested a few apps before stumbling on one from “water” that actually worked well for me. I just leave it running all day while my phone’s charging.

Bought a trueCall for my mum about a year back and it’s ended up blocking 764 calls so far. These days she’s getting around 80 blocked calls every month. Paid a one-time fee of £100, well worth it. I wouldn’t recommend a CPR, gave one to my in-laws but the scammers keep switching numbers so they still manage to get past it. Avoid paying £40 a year to get on their list - it’s just pointless and mainly blocks charities anyway. I’d rather just donate that money directly to the charity instead.

So, it turns out the ones ringing me are from Finance Affiliate Ltd. Their address is Unit A, 5 Colville Road in Acton, London, W3 8BL. You can reach them on 0844 774 8412 or fax them at 0844 774 8413. I shot them an email at [email protected] asking to get taken off their call list. Now, I’m waiting to see if they actually do it!
