I am writing to formally express my discontent regarding Carillion Energy Services Ltd. On the afternoon of Wednesday, 20 June 2012, at precisely 15:53, my mobile number (********648) was contacted by a telesales representative calling from 08452860267. This call blatantly disregarded my inclusion in the Telephone Preference Service, as I have clearly indicated my wish to not receive such unsolicited sales communications. It is rather disheartening to observe numerous enterprises disregarding established guidelines, and it is imperative that the ICO exemplifies its authority by enforcing appropriate penalties on organisations like Carillion Energy Services. I must say, Mr. Paul Varley, the Managing Director, should reflect on his company’s practices, especially when he is so eager to promote his enterprise and pose for photographs with local politicians. It is quite lamentable to see a company resorting to such questionable sales tactics for financial gain. In light of this matter, I believe it would be prudent for Catherine McKinnell MP to reconsider any associations with this firm, just as passionately as she has previously supported them.
