Someone reached out to us claiming they were from American Express and started asking some rather personal questions, like my name, address, and date of birth. I’m not one to divulge such information to anyone calling from an unknown number. It definitely raised my suspicions!

We received a call from this number as well. I picked up, and it was completely quiet, reminiscent of an auto-dialler. So, I decided to hang up.

This gentleman told us that he was calling on behalf of American Express and proceeded to ask us some personal questions, such as our names and addresses. We don’t entertain such inquiries from anyone calling from private or unrecognised numbers; it just doesn’t feel right.
