I received a call from 0845 2456381 yesterday evening around half past six, on Wednesday in July 2009. This number has attempted to reach me about four times now. Strangely enough, every time I pick up, the call gets disconnected. Does anyone happen to have any clue about who or what this number might belong to? Much appreciated!

When I dialled the number once more, I was met with the message mentioned earlier. Admittedly, it wasn’t entirely obvious at first, but it clearly stated: "Earlier today, you received a call from American Express Insurance. No further action is required on your part." This coincides with the fact that we hold an Amex card. They've attempted to contact us multiple times, including as late as 8:45 last night!

We recently experienced a missed call on our home phone. Our father possesses an Amex, which would certainly make sense in this scenario. It’s just another irritating cold call, really.

I attempted to call that number again, but the automated message is rather unclear. It sounds somewhat like, "THIS is *******??? INSURANCE, DO you wish to TAKE *********??? ACTION". Honestly, it's quite challenging to decipher what they're actually trying to convey with that recorded nonsense.

On the 8th of August 2009, my mobile was buzzed by the number 08452456381, but I ended up missing the call. Since then, I've not heard a peep from them. I decided to return the call to get a clearer understanding of the message I received. At first, it was a bit muddled, but it turned out to state: "You received a call today regarding American Express insurance; there's no need for you to do anything further." It seems this relates to my inquiries with the Amex VE card. They've been in touch several times, even calling me again just before 8:45 last night.
