Absolutely a con artist. Received four calls in under three minutes. I've now blocked the number.

I called up an electrician who’s supposed to come round this Thursday to install a hob. I paid him by card in advance, and he provided me with a reference number along with an 0845 customer service number. I must admit, I'm feeling a little anxious about having shared my card details without thoroughly vetting them first. Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

I received a call from this number earlier and, thinking it might be the call I was anticipating, I rang them back. An automated voice came on, speaking at lightning speed, and then I was put on hold with some rather annoying music playing in the background.
