Got a call from 0845 1480060 on 10/10/23 around 2:49pm; my phone flagged it as a "Premium Rate" number so I didn’t pick up. I don’t have voicemail on my mobile so couldn’t check any message. Tried calling back but after looking the number up on 'Who called me', I got told "The number you have dialled has not been recognised", so not really keen to chase it up any more.

They called me just the once so I have no clue who it might have been.

My phone buzzed, I picked up and said hey. The person just said bye and cut off right away. Then they called back straight away, so I didn’t pick up, but they called again immediately and I ignored it again.

I received a voicemail from them. It turned out to be the transport department for Cheshire schools. Definitely authentic.

cheshire county council The issue is when you ring them back you get charged a 55p connection fee every single time, so even if you only talk for like 4 seconds (cause you can’t reach the right person) you still get charged (this is on an O2 sim)

We've received a call like that as well (I'm situated right down south, so why on earth they’re reaching out to us is beyond me!).
