I got a call back, but it was just a recorded message saying that American Express had tried to reach me. Apparently, there's no need for me to reply. They mentioned they might give me another ring in the next few days.

I’ve only just gotten my home phone number, just a week ago, and I haven't shared it with anyone. Yet, somehow, I've already received a call from 003002, and the moment I picked up, they hung up on me. Then, not long after, I got another call from 08451479806, and they did the exact same thing! Received a call from this number too. They posed as someone from AMEX and started probing for my personal information. Seems like a dodgy phishing attempt to me.
