Just like what was mentioned before, I got a dodgy letter through the post, and when I rang the number they provided, they started asking for money!

A bloke in a white van adorned with red lettering rocked up claiming to be from NPower. He mentioned an outstanding bill of a whopping £6093.03 and threatened to disconnect the electricity if it wasn’t settled. Gave me a slip of paper with some rather vague info and a phone number - 0845 120 8240 - to ring. Total scam, if you ask me.
