They feature dodgy smartphone links or urge you to ring up a number, all while quoting some reference number. I've just been shoving them aside and hitting delete each time!

A couple of weeks back, I received a rather peculiar call from someone asking to chat with a lady I've never heard of. The chap seemed to suggest he was connected with Orange. When I declined to provide my name, he became rather irate and continued pressing for details about this unknown woman. Fast forward to today, and I've now received a text claiming they hold urgent information for her, complete with a reference number and a prompt to ring them back. Thank goodness I don't have a landline! The callers were quite confrontational and refused to accept my lack of knowledge about this woman, so I have zero intention of following this up any further.
