I received calls from this number tied to Gear4 Music, and they’re charging a whopping 50p per minute just to get through. When I raised my concerns, they outright refuted that it was their number. Oddly enough, they do have an 03 number that doesn’t cost anything. It feels like a right scam, as I ended up ringing back on this line and getting stung for £3.50 altogether!

This seems to be on the level. It’s probably Gear4Music based in York, perhaps they’re following up on a delivery issue. It's unfortunate that the reputation of 0845 numbers has taken a hit because of a few rogues, which only adds extra strain and expense for genuine businesses that strive to provide good service.
