I was looking through some of the comments here and this same number called me earlier today. I just let it ring out cos now i just dont pick up if I dont recognise the number. Its easier that way. This is a complete rip off, dont pick up or ring them back otherwise youll end up getting charged!

I reckon these calls are set up so if you ring back, they can charge you about 45p a minute. Apparently, the money goes to support the Islamic State over in Syria. So if someone stays on the line for like two minutes, it ends up costing about a pound, and with that cash, supposedly they can buy around seven AK bullets. Pretty dodgy situation if you ask me.

Don't call back these numbers, they're just looking to earn off your call at 45p a minute. From what I've heard, the cash ends up supporting groups like the Islamic State in Syria. Spending a couple of minutes chatting means you'll be shelling out about a quid, enough to buy 7 ammo clips for an AK. Best just to ignore and hang up.

This number is definitely dodgy. A few days ago it rang me on my mobile, and just as I pulled it out of my pocket to answer, the caller had already hung up. I thought nothing more of it, but then a couple of days later I got a text from my network, O2, saying I owed over £120 and if I didn’t pay it within 24 hours, my phone would be blocked. When I contacted O2, they told me I’d gone over my credit by calling a premium rate number (08450044140) and that it had cost me £74. I told them I never dialled that number, but they’re insisting I have to pay up regardless. Quite stressful!
