My Hotpoint dryer is only getting fixed in Jan 2017, which is really frustrating. The annoying bit was that whenever they tried to call me, the ring didn't last long enough for me to pick up, so I had to end up calling them back myself.

I've had quite a few calls from these people now, and it's getting really irritating. One time they mentioned a replacement deal at a cheaper rate, promising to email me more info - but all I've ended up with is even more missed calls and texts saying "please ring this number".

I got called three times from the same number all in a single day.

Had a problem with my dryer and got it fixed, all sorted out fine. They even said they’d swap it for the same model and it was under £100. Pretty happy with the service!

I got a call from this number about fixing my tumble dryer. They mentioned they deal with Indesit and Hotpoint repairs. Bit annoying, since they were also pushing me to buy a new dryer, claiming it was at a “discounted” price.

This number has rung me a few times lately, but I usually ignore calls from unknown numbers and they never left a voicemail. After stumbling across this website, I decided to ring back and spoke with a woman who said it was about scheduling the engineer’s visit. No sales pitch or anything like that (time will tell). I expect I’ll probably get plenty more calls before they come to fix it next month.

This number has been calling me loads but I don’t pick up calls from strangers and they didn’t leave me any voice messages either. After spotting this website, I gave it a ring back and the woman on the other end said it was about a service appointment with the engineer coming to my place, no sales pitch or anything (we’ll see about that). I’m pretty sure I’ll get quite a few more calls before the job’s done next month.

My mum got a cold call where they told her to keep her credit card info handy for their next call. Honestly, that's such a terrible way to treat an elderly person. Pretty clear it was just a sales move, not genuine help or service. Disgusting behaviour if you ask me.

Got a call from 5 0020870 about our Indesit/Whirlpool tumble dryer. They said it was concerning a manufacturing fault they had sent us a letter about back in 2016. They offered to sort out a day for a free repair or let us buy a new dryer at a discounted price instead of fixing the old one. Definitely not a scam, just the company following up.

got a call about my tumble dryer, but told them it wasn’t a good moment to talk. the person said they’d ring back, but no luck yet. cheers to everyone else who shared their experiences, it’s good to know what’s going on now!

Honestly, don’t waste your time ringing them back unless you’re ready to buy a brand new dryer. They’re not there to sort out repairs, just trying to make a sale.

So I got a call about swapping my broken tumble dryer and they were trying to sell me a model called tvhm&0cp. I told them I originally signed up for a graphite coloured machine, but the only ones they were giving me were white ones - a vented one for £59.99 or a condenser for £99.99. Honestly, it’s really annoying how differently two customers can get so totally different deals. Very disappointing.

Received a call about swapping out my broken tumble dryer and they suggested Model Number TVHM80CP. I found it odd because I originally signed up with a graphite coloured machine, yet they were only offering a white one. The vented model was priced at £59.99 while the condenser came at £99.99. Really feel let down that customers seem to get handled so inconsistently. Any idea how I can lodge a complaint? Cheers, Chris - caller claimed to be from Hotpoint / Indesit.

If you're thinking about dialing them back, save yourself the effort unless you're ready to buy a brand new dryer. They ain't keen on setting up any fixes. It's really just a sales pitch. - caller: Indesit / Hotpoint

If you're thinking of getting your dryer fixed, don't waste your time ringing them again. They're just out to sell you a brand new one, not to sort out a repair. The call I got was definitely a sales pitch from Indesit / Hotpoint, nothing else.
