My Hotpoint dryer is only getting fixed in Jan 2017, which is really frustrating. The annoying bit was that whenever they tried to call me, the ring didn't last long enough for me to pick up, so I had to end up calling them back myself.

I've had quite a few calls from these people now, and it's getting really irritating. One time they mentioned a replacement deal at a cheaper rate, promising to email me more info - but all I've ended up with is even more missed calls and texts saying "please ring this number".

I got called three times from the same number all in a single day.

Had a problem with my dryer and got it fixed, all sorted out fine. They even said they’d swap it for the same model and it was under £100. Pretty happy with the service!

I got a call from this number about fixing my tumble dryer. They mentioned they deal with Indesit and Hotpoint repairs. Bit annoying, since they were also pushing me to buy a new dryer, claiming it was at a “discounted” price.

This number has rung me a few times lately, but I usually ignore calls from unknown numbers and they never left a voicemail. After stumbling across this website, I decided to ring back and spoke with a woman who said it was about scheduling the engineer’s visit. No sales pitch or anything like that (time will tell). I expect I’ll probably get plenty more calls before they come to fix it next month.

I've received a slew of missed calls from this number lately. I typically ignore calls from unfamiliar digits, and oddly enough, they’ve never left a voicemail. After coming across this site, I decided to ring them back, and a woman on the other end assured me it was merely a service call regarding my engineer's visit. No sales pitch was made-at least, not yet! Judging by how this is going, I anticipate a fair few more calls before my appointment next month. We'll see what happens!

My elderly mother received an unsolicited call where they urged her to have her credit card information at the ready for their imminent return call! Absolutely appalling treatment towards a senior citizen; it’s glaringly a sales tactic, not a genuine service outreach.

Got a call from 5 0020870 about our Indesit/Whirlpool tumble dryer. They said it was concerning a manufacturing fault they had sent us a letter about back in 2016. They offered to sort out a day for a free repair or let us buy a new dryer at a discounted price instead of fixing the old one. Definitely not a scam, just the company following up.

got a call about my tumble dryer, but told them it wasn’t a good moment to talk. the person said they’d ring back, but no luck yet. cheers to everyone else who shared their experiences, it’s good to know what’s going on now!

Honestly, don’t waste your time ringing them back unless you’re ready to buy a brand new dryer. They’re not there to sort out repairs, just trying to make a sale.

So I got a call about swapping my broken tumble dryer and they were trying to sell me a model called tvhm&0cp. I told them I originally signed up for a graphite coloured machine, but the only ones they were giving me were white ones - a vented one for £59.99 or a condenser for £99.99. Honestly, it’s really annoying how differently two customers can get so totally different deals. Very disappointing.

I received a call regarding a replacement for my broken tumble dryer, and they mentioned Model Number TVHM80CP. However, I pointed out that I had registered a graphite machine, yet the only choices they provided were in white. The vented model was priced at £59.99, while the condenser one was £99.99. It’s exceedingly frustrating to see such a disparity in treatment between customers. What is the process for lodging a complaint about this? Cheers, Chris - from Hotpoint / Indesit

Save your breath if you're contemplating returning their call, unless you're ready to fork out for a brand new dryer. They have no intention of sorting out a repair. It's essentially just a pushy sales pitch. - Caller: Indesit / Hotpoint

Save your breath and don’t even think about ringing them back, unless you're in the market for a brand new dryer. They’ve got zero inclination to discuss repairs; it’s all about pushing for a sale. - caller: Indesit / Hotpoint
