The number shown isn’t familiar to me at all. A voicemail service answered when I tried to ring, but they didn't leave any message. Very odd!

I received a phone call from a company claiming to be DTC Direct, who stated that my wife had participated in a survey, which supposedly qualified us for a rather beneficial telecom deal. When I probed for specifics about when she had supposedly taken this survey, "Ricky" couldn't provide an answer, merely suggesting that it might have been some time ago. I informed him that he must be mistaken, as my wife doesn't engage in such surveys, and I suggested he might actually be telephoning me out of the blue. This seemed to provoke him, as he turned rather aggressive. Clearly, another of those persistent cold-callers wasting time, attempting to pressure unsuspecting folks into switching their telecom provider.
