I've been noticing charges on my bill for calls to this number, yet I can assure you I’m not placing any of them. It's quite perplexing!

I recently received both a letter and a text demanding that I pay £24, stating that if not settled promptly, an additional £6 would be tacked on as a late fee. It’s quite maddening, really, as I haven’t been with O2 for over seven years. Sounds like a right scam to me!

However, I’m an EE customer, so it's blatantly a scam! I've taken the precaution to block and report this dodgy correspondence.

I noticed that this telephone number was linked to two monthly contracts with 'O2' that I never actually agreed to. It all started when I received a call from someone impersonating my mobile provider. I believe it's yet another time-wasting phone scam.

My partner got an email from the number 0844 809 0202, claiming his bill was overdue. He's actually all paid up and mentioned that he never signed up for anything with them. When he asked them to halt the messages, their response was that customer support was unavailable. Sounds a lot like another scam to me, doesn’t it?

I've just had a look at my latest phone bill, and it shows that I made a call to this number for a mere second, yet they've charged me 46 pence for it! I can't recall even dialling it in the first place. Quite puzzling, if you ask me!

I've yet to receive any calls from this number, yet it unexpectedly appeared on my credit card statement. O2 has confirmed it's not one of their digits, as all their numbers begin with 07. I'm still in the process of sorting this out, as I've been charged £20 for this unknown number on my bill.

This number seems to be a fraudulent one. We ended up losing £39 for a ring that we never actually ordered. Please exercise caution!

Hi Erica, just a heads-up – we received an email from [email protected] saying we should call a specific number to settle an outstanding payment with O2. The thing is, we're on pay-as-you-go! We decided it was best to contact O2's customer services from our own phone, and they advised us to disregard that email as it's definitely not legitimate. They also suggested we get in touch with our bank to ensure they haven’t tried to withdraw any money from our account! Stay safe!

Indeed, this appears to be a genuine communication from O2! It’s likely that the email was intended for someone else, as it seems your information may have been misappropriated by someone. I suggest you give them a ring to clarify the situation and confirm whether it was an error. Better to be safe than sorry!

Absolutely, it certainly has the hallmark of O2! It appears that the correspondence is genuine and originates from O2 but may have been sent to you in error. There's a chance that someone is misusing your personal details for their own benefit. I’d recommend giving them a bell to clarify the situation.

I looked into this number and discovered it’s actually an O2 customer service line! It ended up costing me £1.10 on my TalkTalk bill. What a letdown, O2! Very disappointing indeed.
