Somebody tried to scam me and even charged me for it, but when I contacted TalkTalk they were good enough to cancel the charge.

This number keeps appearing on my mum's phone statement, even though she's never in when it rings. It seems to trigger a reverse charge if it's not picked up. The calls usually come through super early, around 5.30 in the morning. I'm really keen to find out how to block it. I've read somewhere that BT technicians might be behind this as a way to make some profit, but I don't know if that's true. Either way, I plan on reporting it to the relevant authorities.

I spotted a number I didn’t recognise on my BT bill the other day. Quite odd not knowing who it was.

In just over an hour, around 70 minutes, this number appeared 51 different times on my BT phone usage. The calls were all tiny, like 22 seconds each and costing me 18p each. I'm telling you, I never made any of these calls. This has to be some sort of scam!

Over the course of 70 minutes in the middle of the night, this number popped up 51 times on our BT phone statement. Every single call was just 22 seconds long and charged at 18p each. We never made any of these calls whatsoever. Definitely a total rip-off! As for who’s behind it? No clue at all!!!
