Back in early 2016, I got a call from someone saying they were from the 'pension advice service'. Seemed quite official and they mentioned it was a government-backed organisation. I ended up sharing details about my pension, like what it was and who managed it. They told me they’d ring me back with some pension advice. Hitting my late 40s, I’d been paying more attention to my pension lately. After that, the calls just stopped. But then, today, they called me again. This time, I wasn’t having it. I started throwing questions at them, trying to catch them out (I gotta say, after 30 years in telephone work, I know a thing or two). They went quiet and eventually just hung up. I reckon it’s all a scam. Fraudsters, no doubt.

This number has been blowing up my phone wanting to speak to a Mr Monroe. I've told them over and over again that they’ve got the wrong number and asked them to take me off their list, but the calls just keep coming. Every time I get on the phone and say it’s not Monroe’s number, they hang up straight away. I keep blocking the numbers, but they seem to be using different ones each time. When I try calling back, the line just rings out then cuts off. Some callers have had English accents, others sounded Asian. If I ask any questions, they just drop the call immediately.
