I recently received a postcard informing me that I had to pay £2.50 for insufficient postage on a letter. To resolve the issue, I decided to find the contact number for my local sorting office. Unfortunately, the number I found was 08444740395, and after checking my phone bill, I discovered that this is a high-rate number. This situation is rather inconvenient and needs to be addressed by the Post Office.

I called the Royal Mail Customer Services number to inquire about the reason behind our mail not being delivered for an entire week. The call cost me 0.28.

Its a real royal mail number alright but the call charges are way too high and the whole automated system is pretty pointless. I dont see how anyone can check a redelivery without paying a fortune. Proper annoyed and pissed off about it. They really ought to tell people it’s a premium rate number before they call.

Please do not make a call to this number as you may have to wait for a long time and be charged at a higher rate. I had to pay £45, which is absolutely unacceptable. I have already lodged a complaint with Royal Mail, initially through email. However, I plan to contact them again using a different number to hear their response.

I have noticed a charge of £5.45 on my current bill for this call. It is quite frustrating, as I had to make the call to inquire about a parcel that was not delivered. Can you believe it? I got bt to look into this, and turns out it’s actually a royal mail number that’s not free, so be careful.

On my BT Landline bill, there is a record of a call made on 10th March 2020. The call lasted for 2 minutes and 3 seconds and I was charged £0.46 for it. I think it might be some kind of international shipping or logistics firm, but I’m not certain. I tried looking up the number twice; once it showed up as UWL, but the other time I got nothing. The call appeared on my phone bill from my brother’s phone, which is on my account, and it ended up costing £25.01 for about 48 minutes. Just a heads up - this is definitely a premium number and calling it can get really pricey. Be careful!

I recently dialed an 0345 number, which I thought was a complimentary call for Royal Mail. To my surprise, I was redirected to this 08444 number. After receiving my phone bill, I was shocked to see it had shot up by £52! Make sure you double-check your numbers, folks!
