This is definitely a dodgy operation! It seems to be linked to some sort of broadband con. They ring you, and before you know it, you’re caught up in their scheme and they start charging you for nothing!

I've noticed two unexpected charges on my account:

16 minutes and 59 seconds - £7.36
1 hour, 13 minutes, and 48 seconds - £31.98

It seems pretty obvious that I'm being scammed here. I can't recall making any calls to numbers I don't recognise, apart from my Sky subscription during the timeframe these fees were applied. This doesn't sit right with me at all! Can anyone advise on how to report this? Surely, there's a proper channel for lodging a complaint about such issues?

If I’m not mistaken, Sky utilises 03 numbers that can be called at no charge from your home phone or if you've got inclusive minutes on your mobile plan. It’s wise to do a bit of research before dialling an overpriced number and then shouting about being fleeced online.

I rang this number under the impression that it was the Sky Customer Services line. Surprisingly, I found it listed on my phone bill, with a whopping charge of over £30 for a 40-minute chat, all to resolve an issue caused by their unreliable wireless modem. Honestly, it feels like Sky is raking in a tidy profit from this; it seems they benefit from keeping customers on hold for ages. It’s nothing short of highway robbery!
