Just spotted this number on my mum’s phone bill and was worried, same as others seem to be. But after thinking about it, I reckon I know where the calls to this number came from. It’s linked to a tele-care service. If you’ve got a tele-care setup for emergencies, often used by older folks, and it got triggered by the person wearing it, then you’d expect some fees to show up. Makes sense if you think about it that way!

My folks found this number listed twice on their phone bill. One call shows at 4.18pm on 12th November 2017, heading to some “Non Geo” destination or something, lasted about 5 minutes and 2 seconds, and cost 86p. The other call supposedly went through on 16th November at 7.17am, for almost 12 minutes, to the same place, costing £1.81. Thing is, my parents swear they didn’t make these calls, especially the second one since they weren’t even home then.

Received a rather alarming message from this number, threatening to involve the police. What’s amusing, however, is that I’ve never had any interaction with them whatsoever. Their English is rather peculiar too-hardly coherent. This ominous text arrived a mere week after I encountered an attempted scam through Craigslist. I can’t shake the feeling that this might be connected to that incident, possibly some associates of those scammers. Quite the peculiar turn of events, isn’t it?

For a few days now, there have been around 20 calls coming from my mum's phone. Some only ring for a few seconds, others go on for a minute or two, and lots of them happen in the dead of night. Mum insists she hasn't made any of them. I'm stumped - how could this be happening?
