I got a call on my landline, they said it was a text message, but I couldn't make it ring when I dialed back. The number just doesn't seem to be real. The phone's buzzed twice now, hope they don't charge me for that!

Got a text message on my landline asking me to call 08443585862 to get a garbled message. When I rang it, it just said there’s a fault and to try again later. We didn’t bother. Is this some kind of scam or just a useless company?

This number keeps ringing me and it's really annoying. I wish they'd stop calling me altogether.

So I came across this whistle on Amazon, made by Markwort. Their Storm whistle is meant to be the loudest one, but they also have a smaller one called the Wind Storm that’s said to be really loud as well. From what I read, the Storm whistle is pretty good for emergencies and can even be heard underwater. Thought I’d share that in case anyone needs one!

Got a call saying something about a voice message and to press 1, but there was no actual message. I was quite nervous since I was waiting for an important call, so I dialled the number back. The response was to get in touch with the retailer about a delivery. Pretty sure now this was just another scam trying to fool people.

They rang and just dropped the call - blocked the number straight away.

Got a voicemail on my landline saying it was a text and to press 1,2,3,4, etc but none of the options took me anywhere. The message mentioned phone number 0844 3585862 which I never dialled. Using 1471, it showed the call came from 03333 440000. I did receive a Hermes parcel today so maybe it's connected to that.

Got a voicemail from 3333440000 that told me to press 1, 2, 3, or 4 to hear some message. Tried all the numbers but none worked at all. At the end, it said to ring 08443585862 if I wanted to respond. I looked up that number and found it's linked to scams. Pretty suspicious if you ask me.

WAITING FOR A PARCEL? I got a recorded message saying I had a text and to ring 0844 358 5862. But when i did a 1471 check on the callback number, it showed 03333440000 instead. Someone else mentioned that number might be linked to Hermes, the courier, for confirming delivery details. I actually received a parcel from Hermes today as well, so I reckon it was them sending the original automated message about the text.

Got a call from some overseas number telling me I had an SMS on its way and to phone their premium line to get the message. Sounded fishy to me.

Lately around 8 in the evening I keep getting calls telling me to press one to listen to a message. I did press one, but the person speaking was mumbling and I couldn't make out what they were trying to say.

Got a call at 9.55pm last night just as I was nodding off!! Then they called again at 7.15 this morning and hung up before I even picked up both times.

This number has been causing me hassle for a while. Thankfully, I just hang up and ignore any calls from it now.

Every Tuesday night, around the same time, I get a text to listen to something but I never do. I just ignore the phone each time but it’s so annoying. If youre signed up with TPS, why dont they block these calls? They make out like big fines are given out to stop this rubbish but clearly it’s not helping. Does anyone know how to complain to TPS about this?

This number called me at about 8.23am today, but all I could hear was some weird, jumbled message that made no sense at all.

Ridiculous. They rang us at 7:21 on New Year’s morning. My wife picked up and it was just some recorded message saying "Happy New Year". The number looks like one of those expensive lines - no clue if just answering costs you!!???

It was early on 1st January 2017, sometime around 7 in the morning and then again at 7:30. The caller offered a selection of four options to choose from. Once I recognised the number, I decided to hang up straight away.

Got a text from this dodgy number 08443585862 saying they called me but I couldnt get through to any of the options like 1,2,3 or 4 to hear or stop the call. These calls keep waking me up on my landline. Total scam! I’m not waiting on any deliveries either.

Got a call from some number claiming to be sending me a text message but ended up with one of those “Press one” scams. They said it was from international but it felt fishy straight away. I know BT texts always come from 08456021111 so this was defo a dodgy scam attempt.

I got a call really early, like 7 in the morning, right after my dad was admitted to hospital. I struggle with sleep anyway because of fibromyalgia pain, so I didn’t answer in time and it went to voicemail. When I checked, there was no message left. For the last few days now, I've been getting calls from the number 08005875290. They leave a voicemail about some sms message. They tell you to press 4 if you want to stop messages from them, but the calls just don't stop. It's really annoying!

Regarding the situation mentioned above, I attempted to reach out by both phone and email based on Jim's recommendations. Unfortunately, the email bounced back as undeliverable, and the recipient seemed unwilling to cooperate. Caution is advised, folks!

Happened to me as well, got a blank text with nothing written in it.

We continually get text messages on our landline, urging us to give them a ring.

It tells me theres a voicemail but never actually plays it, total waste of time.

This was just like all the others, saying there’s a parcel but giving a website link that makes no sense. I called them back but luckily didn’t stay on the line too long. No idea what they’d try to charge me for that. So glad I found this site, it’s a relief not to stress about missing something important. Cheers to who-called!

Got a call from this number right in the wee hours. They tell me to ring 08443585960 to get a text message. Then they say hit '4' to stop getting texts, so I did. Still, the calls won’t stop coming through.

I got a robotic message that was totally unintelligible, with a tracking code rattled off so fast it was like 5 numbers every blink, lasted like 4 seconds tops! If this is meant to be real, their entire customer support team deserves to be shot out of a cannon wearing those old fashioned pyjamas.

Got a call this morning from 0844 358 5862 around 9:45. It was supposedly about a text message, but when I went to listen, it didn’t really add up. I saved the voicemail, but alas, it was just as confusing the second time around!

got a text from this number and it was pretty annoying, so i decided to block all texts from it first. then i used the code 14258 to block the actual calls too, just dial it right after they ring you. it’s pretty effective against spam calls and such. you can apparently block up to ten numbers with this method, so worth a shot if you’re fed up!

Got a call at 10pm with a voicemail full of random digits that meant absolutely nothing, so I just deleted it and didn’t bother replying. I never pick up or get back to any numbers starting with 08. Fingers crossed they eventually see it’s a pointless effort.

Got a voicemail with a supposed tracking number that was 16 digits long - completely ridiculous, no legit company would have such a long number. Took me forever to catch it after replaying about six times. The website they mentioned after "www" was just nonsense, probably on purpose so you'd end up ringing the 0844 number they gave, which no doubt charges a fortune and could lead to more pricey calls. Honestly, avoid this like the plague!!!!

Got a ring from this number at the office today. They sent a text saying my rent was overdue! Total scam, no rent is even owed and they never said who they were. Definitely dodgy!
