They were really pushy, even after we explained we live in a Grade II listed house and that any visit would be pointless for both sides. Then they said we’d get fined for turning them down and it was mandatory. If they ring again I'm just gonna hang up. Already reported them to the regulators.

Just got a call from someone claiming to be the energy efficiency trust, going on about funds supposedly set aside for new windows and doors. I asked them exactly which government scheme had approved this money, ’cause the energy efficiency trust isn’t a government agency or anything. After I pressed them, they just cut me off - bit of a dodgy move if you ask me!

Didn’t get the company name, but the call was about checking homes around here for energy efficient windows. Told them we’re all good and don’t want any visits, then they just hung up on me. We’re registered with the TPS, but honestly, that doesn’t seem to bother these callers one bit.

No clue who these folk are... They left a message like they were chatting with me or something. (I was actually out grabbing lunch with my hubby, and we only caught the message when we got back). They said they’d be coming round Monday at 4, but I highly doubt it!

Since moving into our place almost a year back, we've been bombarded with calls every single day for the person who used to live here. Whenever I explain they don't live here anymore, the caller just ends the call immediately. It's really frustrating! With a little baby in the house, the phone ringing nonstop is a nightmare, so we've had to lower the volume to stop waking the baby up.

Had a call from a bloke named Ben who said he was working for some estate or something, offering an energy check for houses for people over 50 to supposedly cut their bills. Then just a bit later, another guy, Andy, rings to say there was a mix-up and actually it was about surveying doors and windows, not energy bills. Feels like a total con to me. Really hope the cops step in soon.

This number has called me several times, always chatting about energy saving. Even when I've said I'm not up for it, they just don't listen. After a couple of weeks, they hit me up again like nothing happened. Proper annoying.

Just like others have said here, the idiot who kept going on the phone wouldn’t listen when I said no. They refused to tell me how they got my number, but it’s ex-directory, I’m not on the electoral roll’s open list, and I’m signed up to TPS. If anyone from the company behind these calls ever sees this, please stop the pointless cold calls. If you actually have something worthwhile to offer, find a better way to reach people instead of pestering us and wasting both our time and yours.

Today I got a phone call about some energy saving scheme. The bloke talked super fast and kinda pushed me to book an appointment, but after looking up other reviews I’m not gonna bother going. He claimed to be from a government programme and mentioned grants and said that soon everyone would have to get an energy check done. Sounds dodgy to me.

Today at 3.13pm I got a call from some bloke with a thick Yorkshire twang from this number. He was really pushy and when I asked what company he was with, he stammered it was the Energy Saving Trust. Before that, he’d mentioned something like “EVO or EBO”, couldn’t quite catch it. Then he started talking about an appointment on Monday - which I had no idea about at all. I stayed calm and told him we’re on the TPS and don’t deal with cold calls, plus no one’s coming to my house next week or any other day. Out of nowhere, he snapped and said he wasn’t going to take crap from a w****r like me and slammed the phone down. Sounds like someone’s having a rough day! If you’re the one calling, mate, just so you know, I earn six figures, not some minimum wage call centre drone. And how’s that for who’s the w****r now? I’m reporting this to the police for sure.

I've been getting loads of calls lately about energy saving measures. Apparently, they’re checking homes around here. Honestly, I’m not interested at all.

They kept ringing me twice after I clearly said no. They said I'd keep getting calls unless I said yes to having my home's energy checked. Really felt pushed into it, so I’ve decided not to go ahead with the appointment. I’m quite suspicious of that firm.

I never caught their name, but they rang up and set up a visit. When they came round, they said they needed to test how energy efficient our windows were. They told us if the device showed red, we’d have to replace the windows, and if we didn’t agree, they’d report us to the proper authorities and our council tax band would be bumped up. I decided to call York Council and got put through to the folks who handle council tax rates - they told me it was complete nonsense. Seems like a pressure sales trick to me, felt pretty intimidating.

Got a cold call on 27/11/14 at around 1:10pm from extension 10354. The person on the other end was really unprofessional. When I said I didn’t want to share my details and pushed back, they started being verbally rude. Not a nice experience at all.
