The person claimed to be from HMRC, but luckily I was aware that HMRC never makes unsolicited calls. So, I gave them a rather cheeky send-off and quickly ended the call. I can imagine this kind of thing would really scare older or more vulnerable folks.

Got a call from Inland Revenue saying I owe them money and there’s supposedly a warrant out for my arrest. My accountant told me this isn’t true at all. They left a voicemail telling me to press 1 if I want to call back. Total scam, I reckon.

So apparently HMRC have gone ahead and sued me or something, it’s been such a headache. I got a call out of the blue and now I’m stuck trying to figure out what’s going on with all this legal stuff. Total nightmare!

Just like others have said, they kept threatening me with a court case. HMRC never phones you, they only send letters, so watch out everyone!
