I rang 08443386918 to change a quote I found on the MCE site and ended up waiting on hold for over half an hour without realising the cost was piling up. I got charged £22.08 and never even spoke to a person, only an answerphone. After 35 minutes I just gave up and hung up. What a total scam. This kind of thing shouldn’t be legal, companies using these sneaky charges really ought to be held accountable!

I tried getting in touch with MCE to update my insurance info and had no idea they’d charge me. Ended up paying over £10 for just a bit over 16 minutes on the phone. Definitely won’t be calling them again. Feels really sneaky and not clear at all. Plus, this is the only number they actually show on their site, which seems pretty shortsighted from them.

I called MCE trying to get a quote and ended up stuck on the line for like 20 minutes, not realising how much it would cost. When I checked afterwards, the call had cost me £4.48! Compared to every other insurer I contacted that day who had free numbers, this felt like a total scam. I’m never going to ring them again, honestly feels like they just wanted to bleed money out of me by keeping me waiting. Such a rip off!
