I keep receiving calls from 08442760290 and it’s utterly infuriating! My business gets bombarded with at least ten calls a day from this number. If I don’t pick up after four rings, they simply hang up, and when I do answer, there’s never anyone on the line. It’s as if they avoid leaving a message on my answering machine altogether. I’m at my wit's end with this-each time I try to call back, they just cut me off!

Thanks to caller ID, we tend to give these pests a wide berth. Most of the time, they hang up straight away. But then there are those instances where that automated voice - you know, the one that sounds like a mechanical bird - starts chirping away. Quite clearly, it was just another ridiculous spiel about PPI. Our response? We say doddle off! It’s clearly just a soulless robot trying to work its way in with some fancy voice tech or whatever they call it.
