9 yearsI received a rather concerning call from a gentleman with an Indian accent, who informed me that my Sky viewing card was set to expire within a week. He mentioned that a new card would be dispatched to me within the next five working days. Then, he proceeded to ask for my date of birth. After I provided that information, he incorrectly stated the name associated with my Sky account. When I questioned him about the necessity of my date of birth, he seemed unable to provide a coherent explanation and simply reiterated that he would send me the new card. At this point, it dawned on me that this was likely a scam.Sky9 yearsReceived a call this morning from someone who came across as quite convincing, claiming he needed to send a new card. I unwittingly provided my date of birth, but then it struck me-could this actually be a scam? He proceeded to request my bank details, which I firmly declined.
