I received a rather concerning call from a gentleman with an Indian accent, who informed me that my Sky viewing card was set to expire within a week. He mentioned that a new card would be dispatched to me within the next five working days. Then, he proceeded to ask for my date of birth. After I provided that information, he incorrectly stated the name associated with my Sky account. When I questioned him about the necessity of my date of birth, he seemed unable to provide a coherent explanation and simply reiterated that he would send me the new card. At this point, it dawned on me that this was likely a scam.

Received a call this morning from someone who came across as quite convincing, claiming he needed to send a new card. I unwittingly provided my date of birth, but then it struck me-could this actually be a scam? He proceeded to request my bank details, which I firmly declined. Remarkably, he stated he already had my information and asked if he could read it back for me to verify. At that moment, I decided to end the call. I attempted to contact Sky but the lines were swamped. I stumbled upon this site and hope they can't trace anything using just my dob. I've made sure to alert all my friends at Sky about this as well.

I received a call from a woman claiming to be called Lisa, with a thick Indian accent. She told me that my Sky viewing card was set to expire in a fortnight and then asked for my bank information. When I pressed her about how many cards I actually had, she couldn’t give me a clear answer at all. I decided to contact Sky directly and spoke to a chap who was English, and he confirmed it was definitely a scam. I was never going to provide my bank details, especially not to someone overseas. When I attempted to call the number back, it turned out to be non-existent. What a hassle!

I received two calls from this number and the person claimed her name was Celina, which seems a bit odd for someone hailing from India. When I pressed her about the possibility of it being a scam, she insisted otherwise and mentioned they'd send me a letter. Safe to say, I'm not exactly counting down the days for that one! Haha!

I received a rather suspicious call informing me that my Sky viewing card was set to expire in a mere week, and they claimed they could provide a replacement at no cost. They even mentioned my postcode and requested my date of birth to verify me. I firmly told them that I never disclose any personal details over the phone and that I would reach out to Sky directly. Following that, they hung up rather abruptly. It certainly felt like they were trying to pull a fast one on me!
