Got a call saying I'd won something, so I just ended the call and blocked the number. Such a pain, I've decided to block every single one now.

Junk calls. I really dont see why people get all worked up about these, just block the number and move on.

People really ought to report these numbers to the ICO. It only takes around five minutes tops. That’s really the only way to get rid of these bloody nuisance calls. Got a call from an unknown number again, no message left.

Today I got a call from this number but I just ignored it because I don’t pick up if I don’t know who it is, usually it’s some telemarketer. So I looked up the number online later and it turned out to be a marketing call, so I blocked it straight away. Honestly, these constant calls are really annoying! The number was 0843 980 0144.

This is the second time this week I’ve gotten a quick ring from this number, just enough to make you think you missed a call so you try calling back. I never bother returning these sorts of calls. How are they even allowed to do that?

Got a marketing call just now - no way I’m hitting 2 to get a call back from an agent!

This number keeps ringing me up, but it's just this one. I never answer, just hit 9 to block it - that’s my go-to way to opt out. It actually works! I used to have BT voicemail and got swamped with calls like this, but once I got rid of it and started pressing 9 to ditch them, they vanished. Pretty straightforward, really. :)

They keep ringing me pretty much daily. I've blocked the number now, so fingers crossed it stops for good.

I already blocked this number ages ago, so how come it still managed to get through? Do they use some kinda software to bypass blocks or something?

Got a bunch of annoying calls today, this was just the first one. Seriously, why doesn’t Ofcom just get their act together and block these muppets? I honestly feel sorry for anyone stuck working in one of those rubbish call centres!

I got this robotic voice telling me to press 2 for a quick survey and a chance to win some shopping vouchers. I hit 9 to say no thanks but then they called me AGAIN two days later! I told them to stop once more and then blocked the number. Ended up reporting them to the ICO because it’s so frustrating!

Got a call from an unknown number with a recorded message saying I’d won something and to press 2 to claim my prize and they’d call me back. It also gave an option to press 9 to stop any more calls. Feels dodgy if you ask me.

Really irritating and just won’t stop...so I just ended up completely ignoring it!

Got a ring from this number just now and after checking out all the reviews here, I’ve gone ahead and blocked it.

Got 2 calls today even after I pressed option 9 to opt out.

I didn’t pick up, just looked it up here to decide if I should ring them back. After reading what folks said, I’m defo not bothering. Cheers for all the info!

Got calls all the time with automated messages saying I’ve won something and telling me which buttons to press. It’s really annoying and feels like they just won’t stop bothering me.

This number keeps ringing me over and over, like about four times just this morning. Each time they tell me I've won some new prize. So annoying!

They've started ringing me back again after a bunch of calls that stopped on October 20th. This so-called money help group must think I've just let it go, even though I’ve told them loads of times to quit bugging me. It’s like they don’t care about my requests to leave me alone.

Ugh, I keep getting calls from them and they must have loads of numbers to use or something. It's so frustrating!! I’m blocking new numbers almost every single day... honestly, really fed up now!!!

Got a call at 5 in the morning saying I'd won something, then they just dropped the call. Was about to have a good rant with them too, gutted it was just a robot on the line.

Got a missed call and a voicemail saying I've won a prize! They said to ring back and press option 2. Looked them up here and saw loads of reports. Blocked the number straight away.

I've told them heaps to take my number off their list but they keep ringing anyway, it's really frustrating.

Just got a ring from this number. Tried blocking it again but turns out I’d already blocked it. So how did the call get through in the first place? Probably more about my old iPhone 4 than the scammers, but seriously, what’s the use of call-blocking if it ain’t actually stopping the calls?!

I’ve had calls from this number quite a few times, it’s definitely from out of my local area. They always try and tell me there’s some kind of refund or cash I’m entitled to because of a loan I supposedly took out before. They tend to ring me in the afternoon, usually between 3 and 4 pm.

They didn’t leave any message.

It rang twice but I didn’t pick up cause I didn’t know the number. Checked on this website and, as I thought, it’s those bloody nuisance callers again. Went ahead and blocked the number straight away. Really appreciate having this site to check!

I usually avoid picking up calls from numbers I don’t recognise. I just look them up online and get all the details I want. Just blocked another one today.

Now I just don’t bother picking up 0843 numbers at all. Every single time I have answered one, it’s been some cold call about PPI claims or recent accidents or things like that. Too many of those calls, so I’ve learned to ignore them completely.

I got a call from this number but didn’t pick up. Later, I saw they’d left a voicemail, but it was cut off halfway through. All I caught was something like “...press 9 to stop or claim your prize.” Going to block it now, just like that 07771 number that’s constantly buzzing me. Caller ID just says Unknown.

Got a call from an automated voice saying something about a "xxx Life Style Survey." They told me to press 2 to get a prize or 9 if I wanted to stop getting messages. Honestly, I didn’t catch who was running the survey and don't really care to know. Just another dodgy number to add to my block list and auto reject.

Got a call from +44 843 980 0114 - some kind of automated spam, just one of those robo calls.

They've rung me up about 4 times and were really rude, definitely should be reported.

This number just rang me, but I never answer calls from strangers. Best not to - picking up just tells the caller that your number’s active, and from there it ends up being passed around to every dodgy scammer out there. That’s why if you do answer, there’s often nothing but silence from the other side (probably some lowlife). Another reason you get no response is because these calls are made by automated systems that don’t have a real person ready to talk when you pick up. My advice: don’t engage. Let it ring out until they give up, then dial 1471 to get the number and Google it to see who's trying to hassle you. For me, about 95% of the calls I get are like this rubbish. Honestly, wouldn’t it be great if all these annoying pests were shipped off to some distant planet and left there for good?

Best thing you can do, really, ‘cause picking up just proves your number is legit, and then it gets traded between every scammer and pest out there. That’s probably why you sometimes get silence when you pick up - ‘cause it’s either some lowlife or one of those robo-calls that automatically dial without an actual person on the other end. I don’t bother with them: I let the phone ring out till it stops itself, then I use 1471 to check the number. A quick search usually shows what kind of scam or rubbish they were trying to push. For me, over 95% of the calls I get are like that. Honestly, I dream of a time when all these useless lowlifes get sent far away from Earth, quarantined on some distant planet. As for who’s calling? No idea, and frankly, I couldn’t care less.
