I reckon these scammers got my number after I fell for a fake Yahoo support call a while back. The people on the line had Indian accents, and although I gave them my phone number, I never gave over any card info like they asked for.

When I called, a woman answered but wouldn’t tell me her name or which company she was from. Instead, she just kept pushing about my debts and completely avoided my questions for about five minutes before abruptly hanging up. It’s obvious their goal is to make you ring that number, which is some kind of premium line, meaning you'll get charged way more than a regular call. These claims about writing off your debts aren’t true at all. Best to just ignore these calls.
