Just got a message saying £800 was taken from my bank and to text Y if it was me, or ring that number if not. Thankfully I’m pretty careful with these kinds of scams and didn’t click any links. Had a quick look at my bank details and thankfully no money missing. Something that threw me off was that they spelt Barclays wrong - it said Barclys, missing the ‘a’. Totally dodged a bullet there!

I thought about calling but decided to check online first - glad I did! These scammers never stop. Last month, the same number sent me a text claiming they were doing maintenance between certain times and gave a link (http://smrt.mx/R0b484i3) for updates. Later, I got another message saying the maintenance was done. Seems like they were trying to build trust or something.
