I got a call from someone asking for £300 straight away, on my credit or debit card, before they'd share info about government grants and help for insulating my home. They sounded legit and even mentioned stuff about my house, like a recent EPC assessment I'd had done. Luckily, I didn’t have my card nearby to hand over any details. They told me to ring this number later, but I checked with Plusnet and they warned me never to give my card info to that phone number.
