These numbers showed up on my phone statement, but I definitely didn't ring them. Is this some kinda scam? Feels dodgy to me! BEWARE, SCAM ALERT!

Avoid this number, it's a scam. They charge way more than the 5p they claim. Definitely not worth it!

This number connects you to Dial123. Previously, BT used to charge a one-time connection fee of 15p, and then calls were billed at half a penny per minute. However, from 1st July, BT revised their pricing, so now you’re paying 9.58p each minute on top of the half penny per minute for the call itself. The hike in cost comes solely from BT's changes, not anything Dial123 have done. They do offer a prepaid option though, which works out cheaper than paying the new rates. Just so you know, I’m not linked to either BT or Dial123 - I’ve just noticed the price increase myself and had a chat with both to get a clearer picture.

I rang an international landline using this number, and the warning said it'd only be around half a penny a minute. But checking my SKY bill later, the cost came to about 11.5p a minute with connection fees, not including VAT. This feels like total rip off to me. Can anyone advise how I might lodge a complaint and hopefully get my money back?

I’ve dialled an international landline multiple times from this number - over 30 calls in fact. Every time, the automated message said the rate was about half a penny per minute. But when I checked my BT bill, the actual cost was way higher - around 11.5p a minute, connection fees included, before VAT. This feels like a total rip-off. Can anyone tell me how I can file a complaint and, ideally, get my money back?

Just looked at my latest phone bill and noticed two calls to this number that pushed my charges up by £14.59. On 16th July at 13:07, I was on the phone for 1 hour and 12 minutes and got billed £8.39. Then on 29th July at 10:29, I spent 53 minutes and was charged £6.21. Seems like if you pick up when this number calls, you end up stuck paying the costs of a reverse charge call.

I just noticed on my BT phone bill that there are calls listed as if I made them to this number. I’m pretty sure I haven’t dialled it at all, so I’m a bit confused about what’s going on here.
